Sight Words
Students are expected to read certain words by sight - meaning that they can recognize the words right away. These are words that are very common in books or may not be decodable based on the phonics rules that students have learned at this point. These are tested as a grade, but are crucial to advancing as a reader.
There are many different sight word lists available, but 95% of the words are the same across lists. Feel free to use any sight word materials that you can find - any words included will be helpful. Here are the words that I will be covering in class each month.
